I see the American Dream as anyone, no matter what sex, race, or background the person comes from, has the "unalienable right to freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness".  I also see it as anyone can make something of themselves in America because it is the land of equal opportunities.  For example, my parents immigrated from Mexico 20 years ago because they wanted a better life for my siblings and I and they wanted a better quality of life. My parents did end up fulfilling the Dream through hard work and determination.
